yes, dumb question but...how do you type in spanish in word? meaning, how do you get the tildos (sp?) and the upside-down question marks, etc...help, please--and thanks bunches in advance!

Use Insert-Symbol and choose "normal font" as the font (first one in the list), and then choose your symbol. Learn the shortcut keys for inserting them.

i used ''insert-symbol'' and ''normal font'' but there aren't nothing like ''upside-down question marks''!
what about regional and language or keyboar options? now i have only US.

Another way could be using ALT+numeric keypad combinations:

Alt+160 á accented a
Alt+130 é accented e
Alt+161 í accented i
Alt+162 ó accented o
Alt+163 ú accented u
Alt+164 ñ tilded n
Alt+165 Ñ tilded N
Alt+168 ¿ inverted ?
Alt+173 ¡ inverted !

this should work regardless of regional or keyboard settings.

sometimes somewhere on this forum was a suggestion about a nice and small program about copy/paste or how to type ''strange'' characters (similar to ''character map'' solution – but more friendly and with much more options).
please, who know or remember?
