I have a customer with a legend system. 3 cabinets full blown. They are going to take over 2 more floors. Needs about 50 more phone (I assume another legend system). He has mentioned tying the 2 system together with e&M cards. What are the advantages and disadvantages to this? And also are there any other ways to do this? I am lost and could use any sugestions. Thanks

A better way to do this if they have not exceeded the 80 line limit is to have two PRI cards tied with a T-1 crossover cable. This is the best way to tie two offices together.

I second the the two T-1 cards. You can use centralized voice messaging and some other features not available using the E&M cards.

T1 cards give you 24 "lines" to talk across. The E&M will give only 4 per card. How much "talking" will be done between systems?
