Hello,

I have an html page with several input fields named:
txtFname, txtLname, txtAddress, txtCity, cboState, txtZip, txtEmail & txtPhone. On one of our machines running IE6, these fields show up in yellow. On our other machines it shows up in the color we specified in the style sheet.

If I rename any of these fields to something else they don't show up in yellow but as the style sheet color. Is there a browser setting that turns this on or off?

Is there a list somewhere that lists reserved field names that default to a special color regardless what I set them to?

Thanks!!

Its your Google toolbar that is doing it. Turn AutoComplete off and they will return to normal.

That should be AutoFill, sorry.

Click on the 'Options' button on the Google toolbar and uncheck the 'AutoFill Button' checkbox and your fields will no longer be yellow. If they are supposed to be a colour other than white then you will also need to refresh the page as turning the AutoFill off will turn them to white.

Thanks for the responses. The google toolbar was the problem.

I did search and didn't find the solution as I didn't know it was the google toolbar causing the situation. Also half the time I search on this site I get timed out and I connect with a T1 line.

I didn't have to wait long as Tony answered shortly after I posted.

I knew I'd get an answer here as this is a great board.
