Hi,

I am creating a business card. I want the txt to adhere to a grid of 12pt squares vertically and 5mm horizontally. After I have set my grid to 12 points with 4 subdivisions for the vertical layout I have found that to place the text exactly I had to convert it to outlines. Is this the normal procedure and is it ok to give the printer the file in text outlines. What will be the best format to hand the card to the printer (eps, pdf)?

Very greatful for any help!

Sebastian

Yes it is perfectly fine.

The printer will be able to tell you what format, but both those you mentioned should be fine,(best to check with them though!)

Save a copy with the text though, in case you need to edit it later.

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.
