Hello,

I need to export a dataset to a .txt file but am having issues using MaxComponents and Jedi components. Is there a simple way to export a dataset and get the string values to be quoted "" and the integers not? The problem I get with the above components is either everything is quoted, or everything is not. The files I will generate are used by another program and require strings only to be quoted. I have no source code as of yet, as I was trying to do this with simple export components.

You could use a case statement to test the field type of each field in your dataset and do your own formatting. That gives you full control over all formatting, including dates which can be tricky. It also allows you to catch any embedded quote and double-quote characters.
