I am not versed in Access 2007. By default on 2003 the tables are shared. It is different in 2007? (My peers just asked me for help that is why I am little bit lost)

I'm not familiar with 2007 myself either. Have you checked if the records are locked (in 2003 it was in the properties of the form - all records, edited record, none)
