I have a report that has several group levels. I track school districts and schools within the district. WHat I am trying to do is simple. I have a total for detail records that prints on the footer for school districts that counts the number of detail records which represents students in each school. I want a running total of number of students that would reset when the district changes. I have not been able to reset the value of my record counter wuth any success.
Example

District A consists of 5 schools

school 1 has 5 students
school 2 has 10 students
school 3 has 15 students
school 4 has 20 students
school 5 has 30 students.

District B consists of two schools
School 1 has ten students
school 2 has 5 students

My report gives me the above totals per school. In the footer for district I want these numbers totaled and the reset for the next district. SO the footer for district A would indicate 80 students and the footer for district B would indicate 15 students.

I assume you have a header for District, a header for School and then a detail for Student along with a hidden text box with the "running sum" set to "over group". You then have a footer for School that displays the value of the hidden text box. You need to add another hidden text box in this footer that is set to the value that you are displaying for the students per school. Set its "running sum" to "over group" aslo. Then create a footer for District and display this value.

I hope this helps. Please post again for more clerification.
