Hi there,

I am working on a database where I have two reports. Both the reports need same type of data other then the fact that both have a different field on which they are sorted and grouped. Can I tell report1 to pick a query based on some different field and report2 to pick up some other.

See topic "Change sorting and grouping levels" in VBA help

Hi there,

thanks for the reply, but this is not something I am after. Actually I have a main report which contains 4-5 unbound subreports. The data in these subreports are coming from some queries. ANd in these queries the data is arranged based on Districts. Now I want to create another report which should be of the same kind except that the data in the subreports should be based on Office rather than district. I am just wandering that whether I have to create new queries for that or I can change something in report design that just automatically create that report based on other criterion.

Not necesarily new query..
Sorting & Grouping in reports will override the query level sorting.
You can sort each report by choosing the Sorting/grouping button from the tool bar

No,it show me nothinsg. What I did was, I create a query and this create and autoreport based on that query and then drag that report into my main report

OK.., open the subreport alone in the design view and try to click that button.
