Hi Folks

My first question is if anyone knows of a way to save/back-up the passwords stored by windows explorer auto-complete? Always hate having to type all of those screennames, addresses, etc... back in after a re-install.

My second question is of a similar nature, and that is saving mail from Outlook Express so that it can be re-inserted with all of it's previous properties, i.e. date, which folder it resided in, etc... as well as maintaining its individual form. Using the current mail export feature from outlook, it saves the mail in bulk form, and it loses it's format. If anyone knows of a workaround to accomplish this that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if this is what you want to do...but when wanting to save email somewhere other than outlook folders, make a folder in C.....File/Save as/put it in the new C/folder. A double click on the file/mail opens outlook and the mail is as received. Hope this helps.

Not sure about your first question but will look into it for you.

For the second question all of you emails are stored in specific files. For example all of the emails in you inbox are stored in a file called inbox.dbx. All of these files are stored in a specific folder. The folder that they are stored in differs from computer to computer. To check where it is open Outlook express. Click on Tools then Options. Click on the Maintinence Tab, there should be a button called Store Folder, click on it and it will dispay the folder. You can then just copy this folder to a CD say.
