Hey there - I've managed to hammer my way through unfamiliar ground and get our Partner Phone system up and running. I'm stuck on a couple of points I was hoping someone here may be able to help with.

1. Is there any way to forward a call to an outside line (i.e. another office or a cell).

2. How do I record over the autmoatic greeting in Partner Mail VS (the default, if you know the extension... message) It seems like I should be able to customize this to say "If your calling for Jon, dial 13, for etc..."
Thanks in advance!
Jon

you can forward off premise on ACS 6 and above

what relase acs do you have ?

Hi Skip thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what release the ACS System is. The Model number is all I've got and its 103G8(28). My Partner Mail VS system is Release 5. I'm not sure if thats enough info for you, but if theres anything else I can provide, let me know. Probably simple, but I'm a self admitted noob in this stuff, so thanks for any help!

If you have a Partner ACS, you can check the revision level at a system telephone that has a display. Simply press:

Feature 5 9 and read what pops up on the dsiplay. [smile]

Ok - I checked a little more in depth on the system. There is an upgrade "Remote Access" card that is slotted into the Mail VS, this looks like what I found for upgrading the system to 6.0 - Is this right, or is there another card available that I need to p[urchase?
Thanks!

The Remote Access card actually goes into one of the slots on the Partner ACS processor.

WHih version of software can be remotely accessed to program phones??? i was just asked to research his as we have one for the CEo at his home and nobody knows anything about it. I was told its a Partner ACS version 7 but I highl doubt that maybe a 6 it was installed last year.

I believe that remote access is a feature of the Partner ACS R1.1 and higher.
