Two PC connection with Cat5.

I need to connect two pc's together with Cat5 cabling with out the use of a hub.
I remeber sombody telling me that for it to work you have to make up a cable with one or two of the colours swapped/twisted at the connector end where as with a hub they all stay straight.
Does anybody know what two colours to twist around in the connector to make this connection work?
