two OCX's

i have two apps one using crystal 7.0 one using 8.5 ..
the app using CR 7.0 does not work when used with the 8.5 ocx b'cos apparently CR 7.0 had a bug in it's original version and as a result reports done using CR 7.0 does not work in 8.5 without modifications.

then again CR 7.0 will not accomadate cr 8.5 reports cos of the newer functyions and facilities available in 8.5

is there a way that i can use both apps in the same machine?
may be have the setup programs to install two copies of crystl32.ocx in different folders. or is there another way?

I've heard rumors of people cheating this, but I wouldn't.

CR 8.5 should open any CR 7 report, I've not had a problem anyway.
