Is there a way transfer items you have rung up to an existing tab on a credit card and keep the naming of it?

Example guy comes up gets two beers! bartender rings it in guy says I have a tab. Now bartender has to cancel out of that check open the tab and rering the two beers


Anyone got any documentation for table management?

If the Bartender cancels the two beers; how does the Bartednder actually finish the transaction. Doesn't the Bartender at that point still have a zero due tab on the screen? Could Bartender just combine/add the existing Tab to the tab they have on the screen?

when they hit cancel it cancels the current transaction. if they combine an open check they have up with a tab it loses the naming of the tab and just has the check number of the new open check
