Two MerMail 12 Questions

1. I have a MerMail setup with only four available ports. This may be a problem at certain times of the day. I have a spare MIRAN card and may consider setting up a FRRT and SRRT. However, I already have a MUS route set up. If I have a MURT set and all four MerMail ports are in use, will a caller get Music until a port becomes available or will it continue to ring?

2. The preprogrammed MerMail message states "...or press zero for the operator". I know how to change the revert DN, but is there a preprgrammed announcement that I can use that does NOT offer the "press zero" option?

that prompt is not preprogramed it may be canned.. look at your vsdn (voice service dn) table.. voice prompts is a dn listed there, dial that to change recordings. the password is the second password in the application screen.. the 1st blank prompts callers for a password when that call in, not usually a great idea..

second half? good question.. i would assume that you can use rans andf mus routes with your mail acd group.. and the miran mus file can be used with or without a frrt on any acd groups.. if my customer asked if that is do-able, i would take the 15 minutes to program it prior to answering.. it should work, it's an acd as far as ld 23 cares.. msg center yes could block it but i would have to test that.. msg center yes is a must for mail
