I want to update a form in domino designer without using templates. If I first create a local copy, make the changes, paste it back into the database....it creates a form called "Copy Of xxxx". When I rename it to xxxx, for a split second there are two forms named xxxx. For that split second, what happens when someone tries to open that form in Lotus Notes? If there are two forms with the same name and alias? Does one take precedence over the other based on when it was created? Thanks for any info.

Firstly, I would not be creating forms with the same name.

Make a copy of your form to "Copy of ....." then make all your changes to the copy. Test the copy to ensure you are happy with it.

Now, rename the original form to "Old ..... form" then rename the copy to the name of the original.

This will avoid any confusion about form names.

Hope this helps!
