I've got a form which has fields which will both populate a database and go to an e-commerce server to validate the purchase. Either by themselves are simple, but to do both together has proven to have difficulties.

If anyone has any opinions, I would be appreciated. I tried all of the threads and the FAQ, but nothing close to what I need.

you can populate a second, hidden form with the data, and submit each to separate hidden frames by setting a target property in the frames jared@aauser.com

One option would be to have your server side code that populates the database also have a routine that creates a socket to the e-commerce server and pushes the data. It would seem as though this would be the ideal solution because it would allow the script to validate the transaction and then populate the database on success.

Good luck,

It does sound like an idea, because the opposite is actually what has to happen. The database has to get populated first because it is what I have control over. Thenm I can push the data from there.

Thanks. It makes all the sense in the world. If I wasn't so tired, eventually it may have popped in my head. I'm glad you guys are out there.
