I have a Magix with DID, range 1700-1799, using a pri T1 that sends base plus extension. I moved some extensions and now two phones only (ext 1732 and 1702) say something like "the number you are calling from is not in service" when they try to make an outbound call. Everything else is fine, so I don't think it is a carrier problem. These are both phones we moved, so changed ports and one was changed from an ETR to TDL phone. I have compared the station printouts with ones that work fine, and can see nothing. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

It would sound like the system is sending the wrong extension number even though they are administered correctly.
Were the extensions re-numbered from non-DID numbers? You might contact the carrier and have them run a d-channel trace on outbound calls from those two phones, to see what is being presented. A power cycle of the system might be in order. The Majai (pun) might be confused.
Carriers generally reject non-assigned numbers presented in CPN because of toll and other fraud.

Were those station numbers reused or different ones? If you have any vacant DID numbers, you might try one of them and see if the same problem occurs. Who is the provider?

The provider is Integra. They had huge problems a couple of weeks ago when they moved this location to their 'soft switch' which uses sip trunking behind the scenes. We had all that worked out finally and it was stable for a week or so.

Then they moved a bunch of people from one floor to another, pretty simple - just premise wiring more than anything. I did convert one phone from an ETR to TDL, but the other one was a TDL to TDL - different cross connects, no port change.

I busied and released the stations and that cleared the problem...for about two hours. THEN they couldn't make LD calls at all - local fine, toll free fine, no LD. So the customer power cycled the system twice and it was fine for a couple of hours.

Integra is seeing no errors, and I believe them; they have been very supportive and consistent throughout this process. Rebooting the Magix fixes the problem for a while, then it comes back.

I am downloading the system this AM, doing a convert and restore, and replacing their processor with a new one - I can't think of anything else to do (have already swapped the boards.) It seems like the system is unstable which is extremely weird. They are losing their minds (so of course I am getting screamed at, which is a great way to start my Thurs.) and I am scrambling for answers - so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Diana
