Our site seems to have a dual email problem, and I'm not sure if they're related.
One problem is delayed messages. Scenario: A person at our office will send out an email with multiple recipients, some in our office, and some at other sites. A person at a distant site will reply to all, and we'll get the reply before we ever get the original message. Hours can pass before we get the original message, but it will have the correct time stamp of when the message was sent.
The other problem is time stamps being wrong. A person in our office can send a message to another person in the office, it will be received (in a timely fashion, a matter of seconds or minutes), and the time stamp will be 4 hours ahead.
Our email is hosted outside by a 3rd party. I can get to my email through the web and when I do so, the time stamped on the messages is 2 hours ahead of our time. Doesn't that just mean that the mail server is sitting in a different time zone than our own?
I have verified that everyone in our office has the correct date, time, and time zone on their computers and everyone has the DST box checked.
Does anyone have any ideas regarding these issues?
Thanks much.
