1. I have a network with a Win2000 STD Server as a DC, and with a few workstations...they are all 2000 pro and XP, except for one with WinME...I know WinMe is a pain in the neck, but I have to keep it on there.

My question is, how do I stop the user from being able to use the computer when the server is offline or when just hitting cancel? WinME still lets them through!

2. On my WinXP Pro laptop, I made an account for myself with memberships in "Domain Users" and "Administrators" but I dont have Admin privileges on my laptop! I didnt add Domain Admins as a group to the account because of the hacking possibility....do I have to add it to Domain Admins or is there some other way?

Have you tried using the policy editor, I know it comes with 98, it probably is with ME.

#2 If you are logging into the domain, then just add your domain account to your XP's local Administrators Group.
