Currently our set up is sbs2003 R2 with exchange set to use two domains, xyz.com and abc.com.
Exchange is set up with abc.com as the primary address and DNS pointers etc.
xyz.com domain is now causing more and more problems as email reverse DNS lookups are failing and outgoing mail is failing to reach the destination or ending up in the spam filter.
My initial idea was use my hosting company’s free POP3 services e.g., a catch all to receive mail and their SMTP for outgoing mail. However I can’t work out how to get exchange to send xyz.com mail out to my hosting companies SMTP port, while abc.com continues to go directly out over the net.
A second option would be to switch broadband providers, as one company offers a couple of IP addresses. This would allow two sets of DNS records to be set up but can exchange be set up to send and receive to the relevant IP addresses?
(outlook web is not currently and issue)
Any suggestions, pointers, opinions gratefully received!
Many thanks
Chipin
