Hi,

Is it possible to use to seperate databases in one report. I have designed a report from an Oracle database using ODBC. I also have an access database which I would like to include in the report is this possbile as they are different database drivers ?

Cheers,

Rachel

Yes this is doable.

Click on database, add database to report and point to the access database. You may get a warning message when you link the tables that they may not link properly because of different file type, but this is just a warning. I have never seen the links fail.

For the sake of speed, consider linking the Oracle tables into the Access database, create a Query in Access on both data sources, and use that query in the Crystal Report.

Crystal is slow and limits the type of joins when using different data sources.

Guys,

Thanks it worked in crystal I needed to reverse the link and finnally I got data back. Also the suggestion about using access is great it's a lot easier than using Oracle but the run time is to long. Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Rachel
