Two DIDs to the same extension/VM box.

Hi all--

First and foremost, thank you all for your advice over the past few months. This site truly is an awesome resource.

First, a little background: Merlin Legend 4.2 v6.0, PRI, MLX10DP, MLX20L and T/R sets all over on their respective cards, 007MLM 4-port.

I'm looking to set up two DIDs to go to the same extension, and share the voice mailbox, for example 610-555-1000 (DNIS 1000) and 555-1500 (DNIS 1500) to go to the same extension, let's say it's 1000.

I already tried doing call coverage, but that didn't overflow into 1000's mailbox. Any thoughts?

You will have to create a PRI Routing Table entry to "Translate" the 1500 Digits to be 1000.

First, I would do a "PRINT" of the PRI to know exactly how things are presently programmed.

After that, you could make the programming changes like this:

System Programming > Start > Lines & Trunks > PRI > Dial Plan Routing > (HERE's Where you have to be to do the following 5 Steps:

(1) - PATTERNS - Choose a Table Number that is not in use (0-15)
Then put in 1500

(2) - TOTAL DIGITS - Choose the same Table Number that you used in step 1.

Then put in the number of digits being sent

(The above entry assumes you are recieving 4. If that assumption is incorrect, make all things match)

(3) - DELETE DIGITS - Choose the same Table Number that you used in step 1. - Then put in 4.

(Again, taking into considerition the disclaimer in step 2)

(4) ADD DIGITS - Choose the same Table Number that you used in step 1.

Then put in 1000.

(5) SERVICE - Choose the same Table Number that you used in step 1.

Then put in the same entry as your other tables.

That will route calls to 1500 to 1000.
