two CSS questions...simple, but are driving me crazy

Hello,

Q1: I have 1 table with two rows, but in the second row I need to insert another table with a space all around it of about 15px. In other words that second table needs to float in the middle of the second TD. I've tried everything and nothing works. I gave the inside table a class, and gave that glass padding, margin. What else can I try.

Q2: In that second table, there's some rows where the text needs to be indented, and those rows need to be a darker shade. I tried giving a background-color to Blockquote, but it doesn't go all the way to each end of the TD. What can I do here?

A1: Give the inner table a margin:

<table style="margin:15px;" ... />
