1. I have a report with several charts, each in its own subreport. Four of the charts group by a DateTime field, and the group axis (X-axis) displays dates. All dates are the last day of the month, and the sets of data have the same date ranges. Two of the charts properly display the last day of the month, but two of them display dates that are anywhere from 0 to 6 days before the last day. I have checked all the chart options, and they are all identical (except for the number formatting for the data or Y-axis). Why do they behave differently, and is there any way to control this?

2. One of these charts has dollar amounts for the data axis, and I would like to have one grid line per dollar, i.e. a line a $0, another line at $1, and so on. If I try to set a manual grid with an interval value of 1, I get an error that the interval must be between 16.6666667 and 250. If I uncheck the Use Manual Grid option, then Crystal sets the interval to $0.40, $0.80, or something similar. Is there any way to force this to have an interval of $1.00?

Hi bfikes, I'm not sure about your number 1 issue but for number 2, the only way I've found to do this is to enter Number of Divisions. To get to this option, right-click on your chart and go to Chart Expert, click on the 'axes' tab.

For Example:
For a report where the the Auto Range check box is selected and the min value is 0.00 and the max value is 24.00 and the number format is 1.

In the Number of Divisions frame, select Manual and enter 24 as the number of divisions.

This was a fair amount of trial and error but it should give you somewhere to start.

Thanks, Jacque.

It worked, but I don't really know what the maximum number of divisions will need to be ahead of time. At least now I can give my boss two options, either a set number of $1 divisions, or let Crystal decide the interval.

Does anyone else know the answer to the first question? It seems strange that Crystal would be changing the data (dates), and even stranger that it would change it on one chart but not on another almost identical chart. (And I did double-check the dates being sent to Crystal.)
