Hi all,
I need help. We have an option 11c phone system. Anotehr company is moving to our building and we will be sharing the same system. I will give them extensions from the phone system but they need to have their main number setup on the system. So we will have two hunting group main numbers on the same system. Any help how to setup the route? Any idea how to do that? We are using also a merdian mail. Does the new company main number need to be programed on the MMail on a new port?

It does not sound any different than adding a new department or team of people.

Do you have DID trunks? Or is everything coming in copper. If copper is the way, then you will need to add trunks for them, in a route with AUTO=YES and then on the trunk, set the Auto-Terminate DN to be a DN or two or three on whatever phones they want.

If you have DID, then port their numbers to your DID range, and just add the DNs to the phones, and make a new menu in MerMail if they have such a need.

That is a start...

Thanks I will try it and let you know

You may want to look at:
- Multi-customer - which allows two totally separate configurations with no overlap
- Multi-tenanat - which allows partially overlapped configurations allowing some sharing of resources but also things like not allowing one tenant to call another

Gweb, I had an 81C with cust 0 and cust 1 with overlapping DID ranges, no one ever liked working in that switch. They were all for the same customer group and no no could ever explain why it was the way it was. Obviously set up before I got there. I think it was because of the DID ranges. I like the multi-tenant idea alot better

Thanks,

Buddy
