Hi:

I have 2 adaptec cards installed on a State-of-the-Art Dolch running win2000, using Sniffer 4.7.5 SP3. When I go to File->Select Settings and create a new profile, I find the two cards with the same name ( Adaptec (Sniffer) etc.. ). The problem is that I need to disable one card from the "Network and dial-up Connections" panel in order to use the other card because, doesn´t matter what card I choose in the "select settings" window, I'm only able to use one of them.

I know that this release of Sniffer Portable let us open one instance of Sniffer, but when trying to select any other profile, the card that Sniffer uses is the one that is connected.

Any idea on how I can create different profiles with different ( same model ) cards ?

Muchas Gracias !

i believe this is a known issue when using two of the same cards in one sniffer system.

Don't know the exact path, but using regedit, you can find both the adapters under \local machine\software\network associates inc\.....
rename one of the two to a slightly different name and they will pop up in sniffer using the changed name.
To be on the save side, always backup that part of you register first

Don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for.
In some older readme file this is mentioned somewhere, but i don't have any documentation currently with me, sorry.
regards,
Robert
