I need to add to my report the date a table in a database was last modified. When looking at a list of Tables, you can see the column "Modified."

But, researching all my available reference materials and TechNet cannot discern how to extract that date for use in my report. Surely someone else has had to extract it???

Thanks, Sandy

look in Ms. A. Help. Topic database. The example shows how to extract the various properties available from the database "Objects". The last modified date is one of these.

On the other hand, you might save some effort in generating the code to obtain and use this if you carefully inspect the values you see (in the database window) and confirm that they reflect the information you want/need/expect.

MichaelRed, Perhaps you did not note that I had already been to the microsoft site. Could not find the specific answer there; ergo, the question.

But thanks for the pointer, Sandy

sjpistolesi, i did not refer you to a "site", but just the normal "help" file for Ms. A. VBA. The example for this has been in the help file since Ms. A. ver 2.0 (NOT a typo) and I checked it again, so it is still there. Look it up using nothing except what should be on your local system. For Ms Speak, it is one of the clearer examples I have seen.

Thanks again for the attempt to help. But could not locate it, even if an "old" one.

Appreciate your taking the time though. Sandy
