Hi Folks

Does anyone have any twinning documentation on how to set up for a 3300 ICP 6.0 SP1 ?
It was working but it stopped and I have a feeling its in the COS ...

Thx

Rich

First thing to check is the login status

Use the Maintenance command - Locate Feature Extension XXXX for the EHDU and see if it shows logged in
[ul]
[li]If not logged in check the COS to see in Permanent login is enabled[/li]
[li]If permanent login is not enabled check the System Access points for EHDU remote access for login[/li]
[/ul]

Next thing to check is the Personal Directory group Member and see if the member is present or absent
[ul]
[li]If it is absent, check the desktop device for a personal presence key for the EHDU and activate it if inactive[/li]
[/ul]

Hey kwbMitel

Thx for the reply ..

I ran that command and the user is not logged in but when I push the Presence button , it says " Invalid "

Also I am not sure what you mean by a Personal Directory group as I know there are personal Ring groups .

Again thx for the rpely as I appreciate the help !

Rich

Personal Ring group is correct, sorry

The presence button would fail if the user is not logged in

Do you have other users setup that are working? If so can you verify the COS of the EDHU is correct.

Did you check the System Access Points form for EDHU numbers to be dialed in for login?

Hi kwbMitel

Thx for the reply .

We have other stations out there using twinning and they all work . I used the same COS for my twinning ext as theirs and theirs works fine .

Mine is a new set up and has never worked .

Not sure I understand the System Access Points form for the numbers dialed , as I never worked with that . I will investigate that this am ...

Thx

Rich

Also , FYI :

We are not using Personal Ring groups as no user is set up with a Persoanl Ring Group

Re: Not using personal ring groups

How old is this?

Do you have a server application called Mobile extension?

I tried logging in using the feature code ##*9 for hot desk log in . when I do this , it states enter user , enter pin , error feature failed . The logs state : invalid configuration . so I made it exactly like a working user , COS on both my tel and the Hot desk user and it still fails witht he same exact error codes . .

"Do you have a server application called Mobile extension? "

Not that I know of

I just found it ..

My ext was not set up in Multi Device User group as a presence ext ( My 2nd ext ) .

I set up my presence ext ( 19*84 ) in my primary ext ( 1984 ) and it works like a champ ...

Banging my head against the wall , Thank You for pointing me in the right direction !!!!

Thx KwbMitel as I needed some direction on this !!!

Ah, I went the wrong way

Multi-device Groups are relatively new. Still, I should have mentioned them.
