I am setting up a 500V2 with 8.0.18. I will have a PRI and DIDs. I will have a twinning button on the 1616 phones. I want to be able to turn twinning on and off from the mailbox user menu. How do I get to the personal options menu then to more options. I have been searching the KB but have some confusion. Do I set up a module or a start point? Does the FEN come into play?
TIA

Personal Options Menu / Specific / drop down from Play COnfig Menu (Legacy) to Personal Options Menu - add it to the users Start point in VM Pro.

And if you can only use the free format in a generic action then use this code:

CFG:SET "201" twinning_type 0 for off
CFG:SET "201" twinning_type 1 for on

201 is the user in this example.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

OK. I have tried that. I have a start point set up on a user.
Name> Callback: to Menu with 3, * and 1?? (100s ext). 3 arrows to Personal Options Menu.
If I *17 and access the mailbox should I get the 3 option there? Or If I access the mailbox from the extension should I get the options there? I tried it as "callback" and as "collect" but can't seem to get it right.
Thanks

I did the free format. The instructions from the KB say
CFG:Set 201 twinning_type Internal for off and
CFG:Set 201 twinning_type Mobile for on

Then do I create a start point for each user and have the extension numbers in each?

HSM is right do the following, you can allow all the users access to it in VMPRO in the "Get Mail" action. Open the action & in the "Specific" tab check the "Provide Advanced Personal Options." When you call into VMPRO & remote login to your mail box, press 5 & when you hear the prompts press 9, this will allow you to change your options you have enabled. Please ensure that all the user passwords are secure since this action can allow toll fraud. You could if you want force another password before the "Get Mail' action.
