hi linney?
thanks for your answer,
follow your 3 methods,i try to edit regedit32.exe,but it doesnt work yet.

and cannt find "twice shut down" topic in "Shutdown troubleshooter."

any?

Use Registry Editor, make a back up of the Registry first, before proceeding:

Navigate to the following Key -
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control"

The value of “WaitToKillServiceTimeOut” needs to be changed to approximately 5000 (default 20000 or 20ms)...

Then go to the following Keys:

"WaitToKillAppTimeout" and "HungAppTimeout"

They both can be found under:

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop"

Set these to the appr. setting as above...

change the value for "AutoEndTask" to "1".

I am not completely sure what you mean by "twice shutdown" but try some of these if nothing else seems to help in case it is a problem caused by malware or other third party programs.

Some general things to try.

See if System Restore will get you back to a restore point before your problem with Explorer.

Try Safe Mode (Do you have this problem in Safe Mode?).

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
