How could anyone possibly change/add/replace a process in Macola (using third party tools) without any idea how Macola really works. I'm pretty much new in this particular company that recently bought Macola ES before I joined them. We need to customize some processes in Macola so it would fit into the company's business process.

I know exact has a lot of Webinar but most of them are for Users but not for programmers.

QUESTION:
How can I get into that level of confidence of tweaking Macola's processes? Is there any developer's course available that makes me understand how macola module works(e.g. What module affects what tables, Macola ERD etc...)

Any input is much appreciated.

First. You can't change Macola's processess. With Flexibility you can work around them, undo them and do your own or create your own interfaces to populate some of Macola's tables but you can't customize Macola's code.

Having said that, I had clients that have a custom order entry system and just populate the order entry tables and let Macola post the information. I also have customers who we've changed the GL accounts that were originally posted to with new ones based on various rules.

Anyone who's doing Flexibility work or custom front ends is testing to see that once the information is in Macola, it flows properly further down the line.

There's "some" documentation on the customer portal that shows what tables are being affected during certain processess. I also use a program called dbwatch from that takes a snapshot before and then after you do something and you can see which tables were affected and see which records were added, deleted and changed. It's $89 for a single license.
