TVtime on Fedora 16 can't open /dev/mixer

I had a problem to configure sound on TVTime on Fedora 16/Ubuntu 11.10
The error message : can't open /dev/mixer.
Many new distro didn't use alsa_oss but it used PulseAudio.
Any suggestion to solve this problem ?
