I installed a TVS50 system (actually it is a TVP50 used in the Canadian market)mated with a KX- TD816 pbx about 16 months ago. A few months ago, the VM light started to flash on/off when no one was on the system. Based on similar issues form other users, hacker intrusion into the system seemed to be the most likely cause. I have done 2 complete defaults and rebuilds in last couple of months but still get VM light flashing after 3-6 weeks from full defualt restart. I have 9 digits passcodes on 999 & 998 and 6 digits on all users. Remote access via modem to admin port is not possible. When system was first installed I disabled VM forwarding on COS and PBX will not forward calls on VM port.
Outside of the possibility of a user having a weak passcode , are their backdoor passcodes that hackers can access, if so how do you disable.
Also, system usage is high as a couple of user are at max capacity, will an overflow condition cause these type of problems?. Other suggestions ? Thank you.
