I have a TVS50 hooked up up to a KX-TA624....i am absolutely new to this phone system as i am used to working with asterisk and voip PBX's but i inherited a customer with this system.

With the above said i know i have probably the dumbest question anyone has ever asked.....Before the AA picks up the phone all of the extensions ring a couple of times then the AA picks up...i have instructions on how to fix this but they keep referring to running "program 104" or disabling "program 102" etc....

How do i run these "programs"? I have successfully used hyper terminal to be able to configure the system but i dont know how to get to these "programs"....

I am hoping that this can be done without having proprietary phones as my customer does not have any...

can someone please help me?

Any help or suggestions at all would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

there is no software for the 624(there may or may not have been in the Euro zone) it is the big brother to
kx-t line and all are only programed through the keypad!

and calling it a auto attendant is a misnomer 99 percent of the time the voicemail is tasked with a custom dialing menu.

ring groups once voicemail has A hold of the call is not possible

if you don't have programing guide go to download ....

cwc3, thank you very much for the reply! I am still a little confused though.

So how do i edit and/or run these "programs"? can it be done from a non proprietary phone connected to the lowest number port/extension on the system?

I dont meant to sound ignorant im just really am not familiar with this system.

Paul

no it has to be a analog proprietary telephone either an 7000 or 7700 series phone at jack one and either
throw pits switch on phone on 7000 series or program
button on 7700 series and 1234 starts at data field 000-999
helps to have a overlay for keys for noobies!!

when you compare this to * its like saying Scotty saying
"a keyboard how quaint
