Here's my situation, I'm running a KX-TA1232 phone system with TVS-50 voice mail. I setup all the prompts so example says press 1 for this dept, 2 for that dept and so on. Well the problem I'm having is when the customer sets the phone system to night mode, if someone from the outside calls, the damn thing first says (depending on the time of the day) Good morning, welcome to the voice processing system, then it starts the pre-recorded message we made. How the heck do you delete the good morning, good afternoon, or good evening prompt and just goes to the pre-recorded message. I think it has something to do with the clock because it knows the time of day by saying good morning etc. I've turned off prompt 249 and a couple of others to see if that fixed it, but nothing. if you dial this number 505-758-7890 you can hear the message. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I've been dealing with this problem for over a month and need to have it fixed ASAP.

FIRST YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT PROMPT YOU ARE USING USER 1 OR USER 2 OR THE OTHER ONE THEN GET THE PROMPT #'S I THINK YOU NEED 248,249,250 AND 819(WELCOME TO THE VOICE PROCESSING SYSTEM)#6 *998 THEN 5 THEN 6 THEN USER 1 OR USER 2 THEN CHOOSE THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE SELECTED PROMPT 1 OR 2 I CANT REMEMBER THEN PUT IN PROMPT # 1 TO CHANGE AND I THINK ITS 3 TO TURN OFF BE SURE TO LISTEN AND PLEASE DONT TAKE MY INSTRUCTIONS VERBATIM I MIGHT HAVE LEFT A STEP OUT SO LISTEN CAREFULLY I BELIEVE YOU WILL HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE WITH THESE DIRECTIONS AND ITS BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER POSTS YOU HAVE GOTTEN SO FAR YUK,YUK?

When you are seting up your custom service prompts turn off the system greeting prompt it should be at the beginning of the options in the port setting menus for day night etc..
