TVS 220 RS-232 ADMIN LOCKED

I have a tvs 220 that I remote into all the time. The last time I tried to log on, before any kind of password prompt, it displayed:

"THERE WERE 15 TIMES UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO ENTER THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD. THE ADMINISTRATOR IS LOCKED!"


I can log into the 2 admin mailboxes via telephone just fine using the same password I would use on the remote hyperterminal connection. There has got to be a way to unlock the rs-232 admin port without intializing, maybe the rotary switch? (not position 5 of course)

There is no back door you will have to wipe it and start again.

just a thought having logged in with the handset with admin password hhave you tried changing the password??

yes, and i can still always log on thru those boxes too (4 digits so mine are 9998 and 9999) but that hasnt helped the rs-232 port
