Hello All
Your advice requested with the following please
Incoming calls answered by custom menu inviting callers to dial 2 for 202,3 for 203 and 4 for 204
If any of the above extensions are busy or no answer the call goes to 201.
If 201 is busy or no answer the call goes to the general delivery mailbox.
Message lamp lights on 201
Transfer sequence is set at FX
I have turned off prompts 735 "General Delivery Mailbox" and 873 "To enter another extension press *" and this has tidied it it up a bit
If for example 202 needed its own mailbox the calls would forward to 201 but any messages would be in mailbox of 202 and customer want 201 to take all messages.
I have tried 201,202,203,204 in a mailbox group and while it works ok all 4 phones are lit foe message waiting.
Is there a better way to do whats required ?
I have read many posts on this topic but unfortunately is can be very confusing

It is hard to get calls to ring different phones and end up in one mailbox

You have a few options
Point each option into a different group with intercept to voicemail which would have a mailbox for each group and yse delay ring to get ut to ring the difference phones

If you have spare buttons you can have message waiting key for each group on ext 201 which will light if there is a message

Other than that you can have the message automatically move to mailbox 201 but the shortest time this will happen is 10 minutes

Tidy option would be for callers to revert back to the mailbox of the extension called first and leave the message there
