Hi Ken,
I think you need to take the ext port that you are connecting the tva to ous (out of service) so you can change the ext port type from a phone to a voicemail port. Then you put the ext port ins (In service) again to enable the tva & tda to integrate.

What's the software level of your mpr, for the tda?
To find it you'll need to go to configuration, slot, hover the mouse over the board that supports the port you want to take out of service and click port property this will bring up an extension port list. You should be able to take it out of service from here. The layout of the tool is different on the earlier versions. I'm quoting from a ver 4 that I have saved on my laptop. Yours may look slightly different.

No problem. I don't work on these much these days. I've ended up hunting round for that setting.

Where do I setup the menu in the AA for press 1 and so on ? I swear I was looking at it at one time and now I cant find it

Check Service Settings then at the bottom there is a row of tabs click Custom Service.

Thanks for all of your help. When I go to that menu it keeps telling me to select only one function when I hit the edit custom button. I'm just brain dead I think

Hi Ken,
Yeah and the double click it and the list of options for the dialling plan should come up. It's a bit of a wierd GUI!!

If i want to add IP phones to the TDA 50 do I just need the Panasonic KX-TVA594 Ethernet Card ? Or will I need other cards ?

Thanks
