I was updating the SMTP server setting on a TVA-50 today (site moved to a different email hosting) and could not get the email notifications to work.
Finally, after looking closely at logs and seeing the mail delivery fail, I had tried a different host name that didn't point to a DNS CNAME record (i.e. it is a regular A name) and things started to work again.
Has anyone seen this before? Looks like the DNS client implementation in the TVA-50 doesn't know how to resolve a CNAME.
