TVA-50 Custom service prompt recording 1

I have been trying to record a prompt for a custom service menu and when I record it over the phone i seemed to work but we rerecorded it and now both recordings play. I also tried with a WAV file but I can't find anything that will record in the 4 bit mono format.

I tried to convert a wav to 4 bit mono but when i do it is so bad you can't really hear it.

Can someone point me in the right direction please

Recording over the phone by logging into mbox 998 should work just fine. Make sure you're doing the CS menu and not "Company Greeting"...
