TVA200 connected to a TDA200 with one port active for testing purposes. Will replace an old TVS225 - client wants email option.

Problem is this -
TVA is able to dial out over a CO line, the phone on the other end rings and then before and/or when the other end picks up, the TVA takes the call back. It doesn't seem to tbe a timeout issue - the time between call out and when the call is taken back varies depending on if the call ianswer mode is guidance or analyze. I have also tried enabling the EFA transfer sequence with no luck.

The above settings referenced are in the System Parameters - Transfer to Outside section in the TVA.
I have also tried playing with the transfer sequence (FND is defalt) and it works better when the D is removed but hte call is never completed.
I did hookup on the out bound CO to listen to the call with a buttset.

It's like the TVA doesnt hear the other side pick up the phone so it won't release the call.

Short of waiting for an hour or so on the Panasonic tech line, you guys are my only hope.
Help me Obi Wan Kenobe . . .

TIA

first of all what switch is the tva 200 connected too?
real important note all features may not work on
anything but ta-824 taw-848 and the tda.

No. I'm not sure what "D" does but it doesnt seem to be working. :)
I did try just FN alone and it seemed to stay on the line longer but right when the other end picked up, the VM took back the call.

"A" is not an option - I think they replaced it with the guidance or analyze options.

TVA 200 Options from the manual -
Default - FND

Value Range:
Max. 16 digits consisting of 0–9, , # and special codes
D: Disconnecting
F: Hook Flash
R: Ringback Tone Detection
T: Dial Tone Detection
,: Dial Pause for 1 s (default)
;: Dial Pause for 3 s (default)
N: Telephone Number Dialing
0–9, , #: Dial Codes

And thanks for the help.

are these regular pots lines? i'dd put some pauses in there
and do sometest calls just the way you did

also in timers you may try to put a higher value in the
"on hook waiting timer fo vm to CO" 10 secs does not seem like much!

I'm not sure.
I just went through and checked all the settings again, testedit, and it works fine.
I'm not sure what was done different, if anything.
It just started working.

I hate that.
Even the email function works fine. It's like it needed to spend the night with the TDA to get synced together. [love]

Thanks for asking.
