Does anyone have any experience of running TV etc over Cat 5e? Equipment is now available that enables this and I have heard that it provides a superior picture/performance than RG6 when running more than one TV set from the same source. It also simplifies the wiring as only one type of cable wouldbe used.

I am having a new home constructed and intend to use this system. Does anyone know of any problems with this?

The biggest issue is MONEY!

Even the least expensive adapters/converters/baluns cost about $70 per end. You can buy a LOT of cable at those costs.

As far as quality, the thing to remember is that each component in a analog system will distort the signal.
