TV tuner problem

Hi

I have a problem with a Kworld TV tuner.
After I install the drivers Windows XP recognize the PCI card and everything seems to be ok but...
when I am trying to run the TVR software that comes with the tuner I get the following message :
"honestechTV.exe has encountered a problem and needs to
close" and then the program stops.
I have tried to download new drivers from the site that supports the tuner as an update patch for the software too,
but the problem persists.
I have also uninstalled any antivirus software but nothing!
I would be grateful if someone suggest a solution.
My system consists of :
Intel Celeron 2.8GHz
Asus P5GD1 Pro M/B (Intel 915 chipset)
Geforce PCX 6600 based Graphics card (DirectX 9.0c)
256 MB DDR
Windows XP service pack1

First thing I'd do is upgrade to SP2, may or may not help your problem, but couldn't hurt.

I have recently purchased a Tevion TV card which must be similar as it randomly comes up with the same message "honestech TV.exe has encountered a problem etc..." I have service pack 2 installed and that does not help. Another problem I have is not being able to record sound !! My soundcard software has also crashed a few time when running the TV HonestechTV software. Itmay be something to do with that ??

I have purchased a Tevion Tuner card ,get a great picture but no sound.
There appears to be mo instructions on how to resolve this problem.
My PC uses speakers connected to the back of the computer,.
How do i connect the sound card to the TV tuner or should I set it uo somehow in the options menu
It states TV Line sound and a choice of
Wave
Annalogue connector
Video
CD audio
Line in

I then get a second screen recording sound with the same choices
Any ideas
