I have a application where I need to put the local TV provider signal over a LAN network to about 44 TV's. All TV's have a Cat 5e cable with S-video input. This is another job designed by an architect.

1) I see no ethernet in any solution I can think of

2) this web site can show you how to use Cat 5 wire at huge cost to replace coax or s-video

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Yeah... to have the same capacity as any decent cable system (20-500 or 750 mhz) you'll have to use some pricey gear to get twisted pair cabling to deliver.

We're talking thousands in comparison to recabling.

Well, you could use a Cisco IPTV solution; but that's not really a topic for this ethernet forum.

We used to multicast satellite tv all over the network with that.

But if you're interested,
