I'm trying to coect my Sony VAIO GRX (WIN XP Proffessional) to a Thomson TV . I am using a standard S-Video cable. I can connect either directly to the S-Video socket on the front, or via a SCART adapter to the Scart socket. In either case, I can see the laptop's desktop on the TV screen except for the WinDVD window that is playing a DVD - the window is just black on the TV screen while its OK on the laptop. If I change the app to be full screen, the whole TV screen in black ! Any body any ideas??

TV screen turn to Black while using WinDVD ,TV out from the laptop

Refer to your user's guide about selecting your display mode, and also about hooking up a TV correctly. If you do not have it, you can download one from sony's support website good luck.
