I need more information on the ability of using the tv output. I have a friend that is nearly blind, she still can see her monitor with large fonts. However, XP surposely has more options for the blind.
I know we need a great video card.
What is the point of the tv out?
Thank you

My laptop has a TV output but unless you plan on using a really large TV set for a viewing monitor then try using HELP AND SUPPORT>ACCESSIBILITY. Another option would be buy a larger monitor; prices have really become quite inexspensive nowadays.

I have an RCA video output on my Toshiba laptop. I would assume that it is designed more for presentations (powerpoint) as the performance and resolution is really not that great for video/dvd playback.

I have my computer setup with a GE-Force MX 128mb Card with TV OUT. I use this for watching Movies and for playing games from my Computer onto my tv. The quality is better than the 17inch monitor that I have. However the problems occur when you have small text, it is readable on the TV however you have to really squint to see it. Obviously this is no good for your friend. However used in conjunction with Windows XP's Accessability features it should be sucessful. If you are looking to purchase a card then there are many reasonably priced cards out there. Not knowing what country you live in a cannot recommend a good site though.
