I've searched ati.com and driverguide.com for XP pro software to enable the TV to work on this ATI 3D Rage II+ i found in my basement today. The latest software made was for win98...and it doesnt work. I'm currently using this card's monitor output and it works fine with the driver from the XP cabs.

I get the feeling the TV can be enabled because of these hints:
Display properties says: (Multiple Monitors) on ATI blah blah.... and the monitor type in the Display Properties->Settings->Advanced->Monitor tab shows Plug and Play Monitor and Generic Television. But the Display Properties->Settings shows only 1 screen and there is no checkbox to "Extend my Windows desktop" onto another monitor.

Anyone have any ideas on what could get the tv output to work? I dont care if it works as an extended desktop or if it just clones what is on my monitor. thanks in advance

Is there any official release for XP from ATI for the 3D-RageII+ ?

If not, don't lose your time, TV-out is now all intertwined with Direct-X or OS calls. The hardware is there, but there's nothing that you can program yourself. The TV-out was already a matter of bit patches under Win98 (Win98 allowed some illegal I/O accesses), so the chances that it can work under XP are less than minimal.
