tutorial on writing windows programs on the net?

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you know of a good tutorial on the net that would start to show me how to write windows proggies. I do kinda ok with dos stuff, and with visual basic, but I want to use C/C++ to do some things vb cant (like run without all the vbrun's etc)
