I've never messed with DLST before and I just got the Patch BCM 360.337-VP3 and have installed it. I know how to change the time on the system by gouing to
System
Identification

and it list's the System Name, Domain, Region, Date, Time, DayLight Time YES/NO, Time Zone.

My problem is it's set for Eastern Time Zone and Daylight time is set to NO.

How do I turn Daylight Time to (YES)as it's a read only ???field.

Plus how do I check to see when it will change???

That box doesn't mean: Do I want to use the auto daylight savings time?
It is telling you that right now daylight time is not in effect. To test I would change the date and time to a minute before its supposed to change and see if it indeed does.

But daylight DST is in effect in the USA right now and it say's NO

I had similar request from a customer over the last few days about whether there is a patch to deal with changes in dates that daylight savings comes into effect. Please advise.

Daylight Savings doesn't start until March 11. That's why we 'spring forward' into DST and 'fall backward' into standard time. Since you're in the eastern time zone, the current time is referred to as eastern standard time. Eastern daylight time is how the time is referred to after DST starts. Hence, we 'spring forward' into DST and 'fall backward' into standard time.

All you need to do is install the patch and you're done. Unless your time zone is set for Arizona or Hawaii, the system will switch to DST mode automatically. If you happen to have a system set for Indiana Eastern, switch it to 'normal' eastern, as those handful of counties in northwest Indiana began observing daylight savings last year.

Personally I wish the government would just abandon the whole daylight savings idea anyways, but thats another discussion.

Do you have a link where I could download the patch from? Is it the same patch for 3.6 and 3.7? Let me know. Thanks.

Patches can be downloaded from Nortel's website. There is a separate patch for 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7.

I guess that's what happens when you live and work in Arizona, you don't know if your coming or going.
