Turning on D-Channel Messages for Diagnostics

I have Data channel 21 on 2nd Cabinet Slot 0 (l s c = 4 1 3). Can someone please tell me how to turn D-Channel messages (incoming and outgoing) on?

I have tried enl msgi 21 and enl msgo 21. They work once but after a reset without edd, I lost configuration and then I couldn't make them operational again.

Please guide me with correct format keeping in view me as a newbie.

Is this a PBX if so you cannot turn on messaging on a channel. Only the Dchannel can have messages turned on. So you need to know what D-Channel the loop rides on the use ENL MSGI (D-Channel)
ENL MSGO (D-Channel)

I want to open messages for all the D-Channels of loop 21..

Go into ld 21 and list out members this will show all the Loops that in the same route that 21 is in.

Then you'll want to go to ld 60 stat the loops listed in the LTM. One of them will have a D-channel programmed on the last channel.

You mean I should try enabling msgi and msgo in LD 60?

No I apalogize for not showing the step back to 96. I was just showing how you can determine which D-Channel is associated with what loop then go back to ld 96 to enable that messaging.
